APPLICATION FOR SCHOLARSHIP

In 1996 the Mississippi Association of Chiefs of Police created annual scholarships to be given to high school seniors pursuing an undergraduate degree that are sons, daughters, legal ward or an adopted child of active members of the MACP. In 2009  the Executive Board voted to make the three regional Vice Presidents the standing scholarship committee.  Three scholarship awards of $500.00 each will be available each year and will be awarded based on the regions of the state from which the applicants reside.  One (1) award will be made for the Northern, Central and Southern regions.  Multiple awards from the same region will not be awarded nor will scholarships be awarded to any individual who is not a senior in high school going into their first year of college.  Awards will not be made to past recipients.

Citizenship, leadership, and scholarship are the factors used determining these awards.

The minimum acceptable credentials include: high school class ranking and evidence of strong school and community leadership.

The Deadline to apply is April 1
